2003 DSM Shootout


The 2003 DSM Shootout, hosted by Buschur Racing, was held on July 19-20, 2003, in Norwalk, Ohio. See Buschur Racing's Shootout page. Lancer Evolutions are welcome, and Mach V Motorsports sponsored a special drag-racing class just for Evos. See results below.

(If you didn't know, DSM stands for "Diamond Star Motors," which was a Chrysler/Mitsubishi joint venture that spawned the Mitsubishi-powered Eclipse/Talon/Laser cars.)

2003 Mach V Evo Class Drag Race Results
  • Winner: Tom Newkirk. 12.911 @ 106.53 mph.
  • Runner-up: Allan Friedman, Stamford, CT. 12.975 @ 117.72 mph.
  • Semi-Finalist: Sean Glazer, Jessup, MD. 13.06 @ 109 mph.
  • Lowest E.T.: Martin Musial, Arlington Heights, IL. 12.216.
  • Highest MPH: Allan Friedman, 117.72 mph.
