| | AutoArt 1/18 WRC05 Lancer
The 2005 rally season saw Mitsubishi field a revised WRC car. New rules permitted even larger fenders, so the body work grew accordingly. And although we didn't know it at the time, it was the last of a long line of Mitsubishi WRC cars, as the factory pulled out of World Rally in 2006.
Like all AutoArt models, there's amazing detail here. Roll cage tubes, radio antennae, WRC body work and spoilers, it's all here. The wheels move, the doors open, the hood opens to reveal an amazingly detailed engine bay. Through the spokes of the tarmac-spec wheels you can see the mondo Brembo calipers and two-piece brake rotors. Teeny Sabelt harnesses wrap from the rear of the roll cage up to the front seats. Every detail is captured, down to the hood and trunk pins.
Choose from two drivers, either Rovanpera (9) or Panizzi (10).
About 9" long x 4" wide x 3" high.
Note: This is not a toy meant for children, but a highly-detailed display model. It is fragile and has small delicate parts. Look, but don't eat!
