In July we added the Mitsubishi accessory shift knob and e-brake handle, and some street legal tint from our friends at Ultimate Performance. (For those of you who live in Virginia, the law here allows 50% on the front side windows, 35% on the rear side and back.)
In August of 2004 we visited Roadblock of Sterling, VA, to have them install their clear Autobahnd Roadblock protective shielding on the front of our Evo. They did a terrific job. (We expected they would, since they seem to cover almost every Ferarri sold from nearby Ferrari of Wahsington.)
The shielding is a nearly-invisible flexible plastic that will prevent stone chips from marring the front of our precious Evo. We got the front bumper, the headlights, the side mirrors, and the front of the hood coated up to the vent. The installation is the nicest we've seen -- the front bumper plastic is one huge piece, with almost no noticeable seams. (We've seen other installs that used lots of pieces, with seams that can be easily spotted.)
Click the thumbnails below for some detail shots of the Roadblock install.
If you would like to get the same treatment on your car, call Roadblock at (703) 421-1875. Tell them you heard about them from Mach V.
We also got vinyl graphics applied to the car by the artists at Speedesign.
